Project PARA Participation

The project is organized to be implemented in school districts and teacher-training institutions where a local mentor/instructor is available to manage those who are participating in the self study program. Participants work through self study units on different topics. The local mentor reviews and provides feedback to participants. To view a list of these topics, choose the 'More Info' link after each of the project descriptions from the front page of Project PARA.

To register for the Paraeducator Self Study Program, go to "http://para.unl.edu/ec" and choose 'Registration' from the left menu bar OR to register for the Supervisors of Paraeducators Self Study, go to http://para.unl.edu/teacher" and choose 'Registration' from the left menu bar. This project has been built through the contributions of many people over a long period of time. We value this data as it helps us in our goal to improve the web site and content.

Please Note: If you are a Paraeducator...

The online training program is designed to be carried out in cooperation with a local school or district. If you are working in a school, and that school would like to participate in the program, we can set up a registration so that you can be involved. There is no charge to the school for doing this, but they do need to provide the instructor/mentor. If this does not work for you, you are welcome to use the materials found in the Project PARA Legacy Web Site but we do not have the resources to provide feedback or support.
